De l’apport des mesures de champs de température sous sollicitations cycliques pour la caractérisation et la modélisation des propriétés en fatigue des assemblages soudés

Abstract : Fatigue assessment of welded assemblies is a critical, costly and time-consuming process. Indeed, fatigue design involves considering numerous influences depending of the load characteristics but also of welded joint specificities (geometry, residual stress, process induced flaws). Then, the exploration of possible contributions of temperature field measurements under cyclic loading represents an interesting idea to both feed experimental data bases of specific welded joints and develop other problematics linked to welded assemblies (influence of post-weld treatments for example). This work study in parallel two welded joints configurations (as-welded and TIG-dressed). An ad hoc experimental strategy involving specific precautions is developped. Test data analysis shows different fatigue failure mechnism between the two studied configurations. With the TIG-dressed specimen, the adaptation of a "self-heating" type approach is explored. In parallel, an innovative approach is developped to characterize fatigue properties of the as-welded configuration. This method is based on a new quantitative fatigue cracks monitoring technic and the developpement a probabilist model based on linear fracture mechanics.
